OMAHA, Ne. (WOWT) - Last year's tax reform set in place by President Trump will play out in this year's tax season.
While each tax filing is unique, Chad Brown of Liberty Tax said there are a few things to watch for. First, there is the possibility for an impact on returns.
"People weren't adjusting for the withholdings because tax rates changed, therefor with-holding tables changed as well," Brown said.
Standards for who can take advantage of itemized deductions has also shifted.
"A lot of contractors are going to be impacted with un-reimbursed business expenses being taken away out of the new legislation."
