Police sorting through report of realtor accosted in metro home

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -- Omaha Police took a prospective homebuyer in for questioning Friday after he allegedly took off his clothes in a West Omaha house and told a real estate agent, “You know what I’m here for.”

The incident happened in the Pacific Springs neighborhood near 177th and Leavenworth.

The realtor was showing the home to the man who had asked to meet on short notice. He allegedly took off his clothes in the master bedroom.

Police were called and the man was detained.

Homeowner Steve Gates told 6 News, “I don't know what to think. I literally, it was the most terrifying phone call I ever received in my life from one of my children to say that somebody was in our home trying to sexually assault someone else."

Gates said kitchen drawers had been opened and he fears the man might have been looking for something to use as a weapon.
