Police search for driver who struck pedestrian at 24th, J Street

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) Omaha police are searching for the driver who struck a pedestrian late Tuesday.

Officers were called to 24th and J Street around 10:30 p.m. The investigation revealed a vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Tahoe, was southbound on S 24th Street when it struck Ulysses Ambriz, 23.

Police said Ambriz was not in a marked crosswalk.

The driver continued south after the crash.

Ambriz was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries to his arm, chest and back.
