Woman pepper-sprays restaurant manager in Sunday morning robbery

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -- Omaha Police are investigating the robbery of a metro fast food restaurant Sunday morning.

Officers were called to the Burger King at 119th and West Center Road at 10:18 a.m.

Police say the robber came into the store and placed an order. When the cash register was opened a scuffle began. The robber sprayed the store manager with pepper spray, took what was described as a small amount of money and left the scene on foot.

A medic responded to the scene and flushed the manager's eyes. She did not require hospital treatment.

The robber was last seen walking eastbound on Center.

Police said they have surveillance video that they'll review.
