Police ID motorcyclist killed in crash at 180th, Harrison

Omaha Police have identified the motorcyclist killed Thursday in a crash near 180th and Harrison.

Evan Welsh, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

Omaha Police Officers and Sarpy County Deputies were dispatched to 180th and Harrison around 10:30 p.m. Their investigation revealed that Welsh was westbound on Harrison when an eastbound Chevy Equinox turned in front of his Honda motorcycle.

Walsh collided with the passenger side of the Chevy. Omaha Fire Department Medics said Walsh died at the scene.

The intersection was shut down for the investigation but has since reopened.
