Persons of interest in Loofe case say they'll turn themselves in
Aubrey Trail, one of the two people designated as a person of interest in the Sydney Loofe disappearance, says that he and Bailey Boswell, the other ‘person of interest.’ Will turn themselves in.
That came during yet another social media video post overnight.
Both Trail and Boswell posted video clips to a Facebook page titled Bailey Boswell. The page has since been taken down.
In the videos, Trail and Boswell say they want to clear their names and say they have been cooperating with Lincoln Police. They say they did not kill Sydney Loofe.
Trail also claims he gave LPS the leads they're now pursuing and has been critical of his portrayal by police and media.
The first video posted features the man who appears to be 51-year-old Aubrey Trail talking to the camera about their connection to Sydney Loofe. He said in the nearly 11 minute-long-video that the two had spoken to the police, despite reports they hadn't. In the video, Trail continued to refute claims being made by people on social media.
"The 22nd is the day that we blew up the Lincoln Police Department's phone trying to get someone to talk to us," said Trail in the video. "Three minutes turned into three hours that they were suppose to call us back and of course, again, I'm just a criminal so you're going to believe none of this and I guess it's really irrelevant because we've pretty much decided to turn ourselves in and see where this goes."
Trail said they've decided to turn themselves in because it's their only viable option.
The second video features a person saying she's 23-year-old Bailey Boswell. In the video, she shows tattoos to prove her identity. Boswell goes on to say there was some confusion from the first video released Wednesday morning on whether or not it was them.
Lincoln Police named Trail and Boswell as persons of interest in the case on Tuesday morning.
The police confirmed the last sighting of Sydney Loofe was in Wilber, Nebraska on November 15.
