Thursday night, parents gathered, hoping for answers, after a local teacher was arrested.

Gregory Sedlacek is in custody for assaulting a 7-year-old student at Fontenelle Elementary.

"At this point, as a mother, I'm very angry,” Denise, mother of a student in Sedlacek’s first grade class told 6 News.

Denise isn't the only one.

Parents 6 News spoke with following the meeting at Fontenelle Elementary were not satisfied.

"They didn't tell me anything,” Denise said.

Denise's son was a student in Sedlacek’s first grade class.

Sedlacek allegedly digitally penetrated a 7-year-old student at the school, but investigators say this girl isn't his only victim.

"I had weird feelings about him from the first time I met him. What took OPS so long to catch him?” Denise said.

Denise said Sedlacek has always acted strange around her, citing a time where she walked into the classroom, and he jumped up, seeming startled after sitting next to a student.

"He just gave me weird butterflies in my stomach,” Denise said.

Denise said she didn't know about Sedlacek’s arrest until she saw it reported on 6 News, Monday.

Her son tells her Sedlacek was allowed back in the classroom telling his students he'd be "going on vacation for a while."

“They told me...out of their mouth...'He's gone and he won't be coming back.' And I'm like, 'Well why?' And they wouldn't tell us. They're like, 'Well, we can't release that information but just know that he won't be returning,” Denise said. “I've considered taking my kids out of school period because I don't trust anyone at this point and I definitely don't trust OPS. At all.”

A prosecutor says Sedlacek allegedly sexually assaulted girls while Sacred Heart and Red Cloud Elementary in South Dakota.

The Omaha Archdiocese says they have no record of him working at sacred heart.

He has been a teacher at Fontenelle Elementary since 2016.
