Omaha man sentenced for January Walgreen's robbery
The United States Attorney's Office announced on Friday that an Omaha man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for robbing a Walgreen's.
Kevin Mitchell, 32, was sentenced to 151 months in federal prison, and three years of supervised release.
The robbery occurred in Jan. 17, 2018. According to officials, Mitchell brandished a machete and demanded cash from the store's safe. He even scratched the Walgreen's clerk's arm and stated, "See? It's sharp."
Mitchell stole $4,300 and was located shortly after. He is a repeat offender.
