Omaha Police no longer responding to movable vehicle accidents

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -- Omaha Police officers will no longer respond to movable property damage vehicle accidents effective immediately Friday, the department announced in a statement.

The measure is a precaution to keep citizens and officers safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, the release states. It is effective until further notice.

Drivers should exchange information in the event of accidents.
