Doctor Michael Boska was a professor and radiology researcher at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He died when his glider crashed near the Blair airport Saturday.

Doctor Boska was researching groundbreaking developments in Parkinson's disease.

His peers say he created an infrastructure at UNMC that will live on for years to come.

"Mike was very well liked at the institution, not just because of his ability as a scientist... but as a person,” said UNMC professor & Chair, Dept. of Radiology Craig Walker. "What helped Mike be successful was his willingness to reach out and collaborate, and to make other scientists in the community very successful.”

Doctor Boska's glider crashed during takeoff. The FAA and the NTSB are handling the investigation.
