UPDATE: Southwest Omaha power outage resolved

OPPD crews responded to a small power outage which affected a few dozen customers in southwest Omaha for several hours on Wednesday morning.

According to OPPD's

, the outage impacted 66 customers. A circuit locked out shortly after 8 am, leaving those customers in the dark for a few hours. Power was restored around 10:30 am.

The area impacted largely included the Oakview Mall and surrounding businesses. OPPD said the area impacted included Wright Street to F Street between 138th Street and 144th Street. A nearby Panera Bread location had posted a sign on its door saying that it was closed until power was restored.

Crews said a capacitor bank failure at a nearby substation led to the outage.
