Nobody closes schools quite like Mo Valley's Super does

MISSOURI VALLEY, Iowa -- When wintry weather shuts the schoolhouse doors for the day, Missouri Valley Superintendent Brent Hoesing makes sure you know it.

But the Super isn't one to settle for the quotidian track of hanging a closed sign in the window and calling it a day. There's tradition to uphold in Missouri Valley.

In Hoesing's case, tradition involves the trappings and demeanor of an alter ego and a good dose of early-morning adrenaline before he lights the fuse on the sort of BOOM! you don't expect from the office of the school boss.

Here's his latest extra-mile announcement providing the soundtrack to the Snow Day on Tuesday, January 22nd.
