New chapter for Malorie Maddox

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -- After more than 13 years at WOWT, Malorie Maddox is opening a new chapter in her career. She’s decided to leave broadcasting and the odd hours that come with it so that she can spend more time with her family.

She says, “I am honored so many people let me share their stories, and the opportunity I’ve had to be involved in our community. Now it’s time to say goodbye to that role. My husband and my son are my world. I am ready to be home at night with them.”

We’re going to miss Malorie on the anchor desk but we wish her the best when she takes on a new role at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska.

Join us in the coming days as we celebrate her time here at WOWT. We’ll look back at some of the thousands of stories she’s reported on and the many lives she’s touched.

You can also visit Malorie’s Facebook page to hear more about her news and wish her well.

Her last day at 6 News will be Thursday, March 22nd.
