COVID-19 update: Douglas County reports 3 deaths Thursday
Here is a summary of new cases and other COVID-19 stats reported Thursday by health officials across Nebraska & Iowa.
has reported 15,117 COVID-19 cases in the state. That's up 251 from Wednesday's report.
is up 533 cases from yesterday with a total of 20,805 cases. Iowa is also up 7 deaths with a total of 581.
The Douglas County Health Department on Thursday reported three deaths and 189 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the county's total number of cases to 4,865.
The deceased are two men and one woman. One of the individuals was more than 65 years old, two were between 50 to 64 years old.
There have been 45 deaths in the county since the pandemic began.
Pottawattamie County Public Health reported one death and 26 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the county's total to 342 cases.
The deceased is the ninth COVID-19 related death in Pottawattamie County. He was a Council Bluffs man between ages 61 and 80.
Of the 26 new cases, 23 are Council Bluffs residents, and one each from Avoca, Oakland and Walnut.
As of Thursday, 3,833 residents of Pottawattamie County have been tested for COVID-19.
A total of 184 people have recovered from the virus. Currently, six are hospitalized and 134 are self-isolating.
The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department reported 13 additional cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the community total to 1,276.
No new deaths were reported. Lancaster County has reported nine deaths since the pandemic began.
