Here is a summary of new cases and other COVID-19 stats reported Friday by health officials across Nebraska & Iowa.


As of 6 p.m. Friday, here are the latest numbers for Nebraska according to the


18,524 Nebraska Cases (up 178)

Deaths: 266, up six since June 25.

Hospitalized: 125, nearly half of the single-day record of 232 set May 27.

Hospital bed availability: 39 percent.

ICU bed availability: 42 percent.

Ventilator availability: 78 percent.

Cases in Douglas County: 6,764, an increase of 62 since June 25.

Douglas County deaths: 86, an increase of three since June 25.

Dakota County cases: 1,749, no increase since June 25.

Lancaster County cases: 1,669, an increase of nine since June 25.

Hall County cases: 1,585, an increase of one since June 25.


Total cases in Iowa: 27,691, an increase of 396 since June 25.

Total Iowa deaths: 704, an increase of nine since June 25.

Total hospitalized in Iowa: 141.

Patients in ICU: 42.

New hospital admissions: 18.

Recoveries: 17,391.

62 new cases, 3 deaths in Douglas County

The Douglas County Health Department has reported 62 new cases and three new deaths.

The total number of cases in the county has reached 6,674.

One woman and two men all over 70 have passed away due to COVID-19. The total number of deaths in the county is now 86.

DCHD has also confirmed 2,884 recoveries in the county.
