Bond has been set at $1 million for Klint Bitter, a former youth pastor at a West Omaha church who is accused of sexual assault.

Bitter, 34, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and will stand trial for First Degree Sexual Assault of a child. The victim in the case is 15-years-old.

Prosecutors say he had found the girl through an online classified ad. She claimed to be 18 and they had sex in February.

Bitter surrendered to authorities in Sarpy County on Tuesday.

He has been fired from the job he held at Christ Community Church near 108th and Harney.
