OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -- The Holiday Lights fireworks show, scrubbed on Monday due to the threat of bad weather, has been rescheduled for January 5th at 7 p.m.
The display, billed as one of the largest in the region and the last signature event of the Holiday Lights Festival, was set to go at 7 p.m. Monday but the threat of uncooperative weather put a halt to Monday's event.
According to a statement from organizers: "The Holiday Lights Festival’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks Spectacular has been postponed due to safety issues with possible high wind gusts."
The event was restored to the calendar later Monday morning: Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 7 p.m.
