Man who injured five when crashing into Crane Coffee will serve prison time

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The man who crashed his car through a Crane Coffee store in October of 2017 was sentenced to three years in prison.

Jake Yestingsmeier injured five people when his Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed into the Crane Coffee drive-thru kiosk near 129th and West Maple.

Two counts of second-degree assault were dropped, and Yestingsmeier pleaded no contest to two counts of DUI causing serious bodily injury.

He received three years of prison time with credit of one day served for the first count of DUI causing serious bodily injury. That prison time will be followed with nine months of post-release supervision.

Yestingsmeier received 36 months of probation for the second count of DUI causing serious bodily injury that will be served after his prison time.

He also had his driver's license revoked for 30 months.
