OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - If you liked the weather Tuesday, I think you’ll like the weather today! Most of us warmed into the low to mid-80s yesterday afternoon, with highs in the 80s returning once again today.
First, we are tracking a few scattered showers and storms just west of the viewing area early this morning. A few may make their way into our Nebraska counties during the morning commute, but coverage should remain light and spotty.
Once any spotty rain chance clears, clouds will gradually decrease with more sunshine on the way this afternoon! This will allow temperatures to warm up about 10° above-normal for this time of year.
Mostly dry and mild conditions take us into tonight, with lows just dropping into the low-60s.
Temperatures continue to heat up Thursday, with many of us breaking the 90° mark! Conditions will be a bit breezy and more humid as well, as dew points rise into the 60s.
Showers are possible mainly north of the Metro Thursday night into early Friday, otherwise we’ll be staying warm and breezy! Storms look to increase Friday night into Saturday, with strong to severe storms possible.
Temperatures start to cool down Sunday into the beginning of next week, but the active weather pattern will continue. Keep an eye on the forecast this week, and we will do the same!
