OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - After a frigid start to 2019, temperatures are on the rise as we continue throughout the week!
Clouds have been stubborn to clear, but mostly sunny skies return today – so be sure to grab the shades! Winds shifting from the northwest to the southwest allowed temperatures to actually warm up overnight. Since it is a bit breezy, however, wind chills are in the single digits.
Temperatures will near closer to seasonable this afternoon. Highs will top in the mid to upper-30s. Mostly clear conditions take us into tonight with lows dropping down into the lower-20s.
Sunshine returns Thursday and Friday with highs continuing to warm. Mid to upper-40s possible Thursday, with a shot at 50° Friday and Saturday! Our average high for this time of year is 33°.
We’ll stay fairly quiet and dry through the weekend, with clouds increasing Sunday. We’ll hold a slight chance for rain or a light mix late early Monday morning but the bulk of the precipitation looks to stay off to our southeast.
Enjoy the above-average temperatures on tap this week!
