LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -- A fire heavily damaged a north Lincoln home Wednesday after a car fire spread to an attached garage.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews called to North 16th Street and Redstone Road found a vehicle and home in flames.

Investigators believe the fire originated in a car, and eventually spread to the home, causing visible damage.

LFR reports no one was injured.

Crews on scene said most of the damage was contained to an attached garage. Heavy smoke damage was reported inside the home. LFR said that due to the toxic fumes emitted form the car fire, the conditions inside the home deteriorated quickly.

The car is a total loss.
