LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lincoln authorities deployed a bomb disposal robot to collect a suspicious device found in a Capital City neighborhood Friday. The device has been safely removed.

Chief Fire Inspector Bill Mooday said the device was spotted around 10 a.m. by a passerby near Pound Middle School. That's near 48th and Pioneers Boulevard.

The person who found it brought it to his home to get it away from the school.

Emergency crews removed the device. It was taken outside the city limits to be examined.

No one was injured.
