Lincoln child who nearly drowned is flown to Children's Hospital Omaha for treatment

A two-year-old is in critical condition this morning after a near drowning at a home in central Lincoln.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lincoln Police said a 3-year-old boy was flown to Children's Hospital in Omaha after he was pulled from the swimming pool in the backyard of his Lincoln home Sunday night

The child was listed in critical condition Monday morning after the near drowning.

Lincoln Police and Lincoln Fire and Rescue were called to a home near 32nd and Potter around 9:00 p.m. Sunday.

Adults at the home reported to police the boy had not been seen for a couple of minutes. He was found unconscious in the home's pool.

Police said the boy was flown to Omaha's Children's Hospital. Police said he remained unconscious but was stable enough to transport.

An investigation is ongoing.
