Jury selection is set to begin Monday in a 2015 murder case that prosecutors say involves a pimp.
Reginald Briggs is facing first-degree murder chargers as well as domestic violence, gun and pandering charges in the 2015 death of Teresa Longo. Longo's body was found in a home near 39th and Burdette after someone called in an anonymous tip.
In earlier court hearings, evidence showed Briggs was a pimp for Longo and another woman.
In a 2015 court hearing, homicide detective Sherri King testified that Briggs told an acquaintance that he shot one of the women. Briggs allegedly threw his shotgun in the Papio Creek, but Omaha Fire and Rescue dive teams were unable to locate the weapon at the time.
Jury selection will begin Monday morning.
