Gov. Kim Reynolds said Thursday morning that the Iowa State Hygenic Lab completed the Test Iowa validation Wednesday, allowing it to process those tests as well.
The governor said more than 400,000 assessments have been conducted through TestIowa.com, resulting in 4,300 tests to date. Of those, Reynolds said, 4,000 have received their results.

Saturday, the governor said a Test Iowa call center will be operational in coming days.
Meanwhile, outbreaks have been reported in 35 of more than 400 long-term care centers, Reynolds said, and strike teams have been sent to five counties. Deaths in such facilities account for 180, or 57%, of the state's COVID-19 deaths, she said.
The governor also noted that 244 Iowans in long-term care centers have recovered from COVID-19 since the pandemic was first identified in the state.
