DES MOINES, Iowa (WOWT) -- In a news conference Friday, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds and other state officials said more tests are being done and more positive cases are a result.
Reynolds said she will re-evaluate policies on March 31, like a shelter-in-place order across the state.
Reynolds said she made her decision based on medical equipment available for healthcare workers -- and that hospitals have asked her not to issue a shelter-in-place order because doing so would spread fear.
She said the response has to be responsible and practical, and current data is not driving her to make such an order.
