Investigation underway after Airman found dead at Offutt

BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) -- Air Force Office officials confirm they’re investigating the death of a U.S. Airman at Offutt Air Force Base.

A representative with Offutt said Airman First Class Rhianda Dillard was found dead in her dormitory room on August 1. She was 20 years old.

Initial autopsy results could not determine what caused Dillard's death. Toxicology tests have been ordered and will take between six and eight weeks to complete.

Dillard, who is originally from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, was a 3D0X2 Cyber Systems Operations Specialist assigned to the 55th Strategic Communications Squadron at Offutt Air Force Base.. Officials said she had been at Offutt since March.
