LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - A very frustrated looking Scott Frost addressed the media after a tough loss to Purdue on Saturday.
The Huskers just couldn't keep up, and fell to the Boilermakers 42 to 28.
"Every team is different. Trying to get this team where I know it needs to be to win games and championships is a different process then other teams that I’ve been on. But, we’re gonna keep fighting. And I appreciate the people of Nebraska so much, because I said this last week, I know where this is going. Nobody hates this more than I do, and we’re gonna keep swinging," said Frost when addressing the media.
The frustration didn't end with Frost. The players said they are feeling the weight of the losses as well.
“I think we as a team need to do a better job. Me personally I reacted a few times poorly. That’s going to happen and that’s something we need to realize. Calls aren’t going to go our way all the time and we need to react a little bit differently. Obviously it was bad timing a couple of times and sometimes it was on us, it was simply on us and that’s something we have to correct," said quarterback Adrian Martinez.
The Huskers face the Wisconsin Badgers next Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
