Hurricane threat puts a halt to Omaha's Florida flights

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -- Hurricane Irma is putting a halt to Omaha flights to and from Florida through the weekend.

All Eppley Airfield nonstop flights to and from Florida (Miami and Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg) for Friday September 8th, Saturday September 9th, and Sunday September 10th have been canceled.

Other connecting flights into and from Florida and the Southeastern U.S. may also be affected.

The Omaha Airport Authority urges travelers to contact their airline for specific flight information.
