BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) - First Presbyterian and Laundry World in Bellevue partnered up to help flood victims do their laundry on Saturday.
Shelli Dart directs the church's youth ministry. She and the youth group decided clean laundry and clean lunch were services they could provide to those in their home town that are affected.
Dart said at least 50 families stopped by for lunch and laundry.
"It's awfully hard to be surrounded by mud and muck and horrible stuff, so we thought, what's better than the smell of fresh laundry for our friends and neighbors?" she said.
For some, it was the first time they had been able to do laundry since the flooding over three weeks ago.
