OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Big Red Friday, the fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House, appears to have been a big success.

The charity teamed up with the Nebraska Huskers and McDonald's restaurants to sell Husker flags.

This was the second year for the fundraiser, and once again, the flags sold fast.

One woman who got a flag said she is excited to display it for the new season.

"I am a true Husker fan. We're going to make Nebraska great again thanks to Mr. Scott Frost coming back to Nebraska," said Jeana Hill.

Eighty McDonald's restaurants across the state sold the flags for $5. The fundraiser ran for three hours Friday morning, and the flags sold fast.

The Huskers' first football game is Saturday at 7 p.m.
