Emergency crews rescue stranded dogs from frigid waters

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (WOWT) -- Emergency crews in North Platte teamed up Tuesday morning for a daring rescue on ice.

Two dogs had been trapped at Cody Park. One of them was partially in the frigid water.

North Platte Police, Fire, Animal Control, and Lincoln County Dive Rescue Team went to work and when the job was done, both dogs were safe.

A camera looked on as Rescue Diver Scott Ambrose geared up and positioned himself on the ice to rescue the partly submerged pup.

North Platte Police shared the video on their Facebook page.
