Authorities are looking for the cause of a fire that destroyed a home in Bennington early Saturday morning. The sun rose on the charred shell that remained.
It took crews nearly an hour to get the blaze under control and fire crews were called to a rekindle hours later. Daylight brought a closer look at the ashes left when the flames were gone.
The fire was reported near 164th and Craig Avenue just after 3 a.m.
Initial reports said smoke and flames were seen coming from the house when crews arrived.
Additional crews were called in from Omaha, Irvington and Boys Town for relief.
No one was injured.
