Bellevue homicide victim identified, investigation underway

BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) -- Bellevue Police are investigating the homicide of a 38-year-old man whose body was found in his home Tuesday.

Brent Quigley's death was discovered after friends noticed that he had not been around for a couple of days.

“A coworker of the victim, knows that the victim had not come to work for several days. He wasn’t answering his cell phone, so he went to his residence and was able to open the front door and found the victim deceased inside,” said Bellevue Police Sergeant Andy Jashinske.

Forensic investigators and police were called to Quigley's home near 42nd and Olive Streets Tuesday afternoon. His death is being investigated as a homicide.

Friends of Brent Quigley say he was a friend and a brother. They tell 6 News Quigley had little family here. Friends say he was a journeyman plumber with Omaha Local 16.
