David's Forecast - Quiet and cool overnight

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - We had a frosty start around the area this morning but sunshine this afternoon helped to warm us into the lower 50s in most spots. A few high clouds are moving through the area, but dry conditions are expected this evening and overnight. Temperatures will fall into the lower 40s by 10pm, with overnight lows in the low 30s and upper 20s. A little more patchy frost is possible by morning with north winds at 50 to 10mph.

More sunshine is headed our way for Sunday. However temperatures will once again be nearly 10 degrees below average. We will see a nice warming trend kick in on Monday with highs reach back into the low to mid 70s. There is a slight chance for a morning shower Monday, mainly north of the metro. The bulk of the day is likely to be dry. Temperatures continue to climb into the middle 70s on Tuesday, but that will come ahead of our next storm system.

A slight chance for a few thunderstorms will creep into the forecast late Tuesday evening or overnight, with a more widespread chance for showers and storms coming in on Wednesday. Ahead of the storm chances, temperatures should still climb into the upper 60s or low 70s Wednesday afternoon, with rain likely overnight into Thursday. We may wake up to temperatures in the middle 50s on Thursday, but rain showers will continue through the morning and perhaps early afternoon, with blustery north winds dropping us into the 40s.
