OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Lots of sunshine across the region today help to push temperatures into the 50s this afternoon. We topped out at 53 degrees this afternoon in Omaha! A weak storm system sliding by to our northeast resulting in some gusty winds this afternoon and evening, but those winds will die down overnight. Temperatures will once again by on the chilly side tonight, falling into the middle 20s for most of the area. However dry weather will continue, with no rain or snow in the forecast.
Sunday will feature more sunshine but temperatures may be a couple degrees cooler than what we saw today. It will still be relatively mild high should still top out in the upper 40s to around 50. Slightly cooler weather is expected on Monday with highs in the mid 40s.
On Tuesday we will likely see a few rain showers in the area, but rainfall amounts are expected to be very light and many areas may not see rain at all. Wednesday and beyond, we should get a nice taste of Spring as temperatures climb into the upper 50s, and potentially even the low 60s with plenty of sunshine to round out the week!
