Ofelia Franco was parked in her own driveway when a man with a gun stole her SUV.

Franco had just returned home from bringing her teenage son to school on Tuesday morning. She was parking her Chevy Tahoe in her driveway near 36th and O St. when she saw a man with a gun in her rear view mirror.

Franco told WOWT 6 News she immediately locked her doors, but the man walked up to her window and pointed the gun at her. He told her to get out of the SUV. She did - and she was afraid the man would shoot her. Franco said she prayed for her safety.

The man drove off in her SUV and Franco called her husband Victor, who was on his way to work. He called 9-1-1 and rushed home to help his wife. He said: "I don't understand people. Why attack her?"

The Franco family is still frightened, afraid the man who stole their SUV might come back. Omaha Police haven't made any arrests.

Ofelia Franco told WOWT 6 News her faith has kept her strong. She said: "I feel blessed because I have my life."

Omaha Police did locate the Franco's SUV across town.
