COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) - Rescue crews pulled a car from the shores of the Missouri River Saturday afternoon.

The car was found in the river just south of Lake Manawa.

Council Bluffs Police said the fire department was able to check the vehicle and find that it was unoccupied.

It took about three hours to get the car out of the ice and water.

The vehicle was a silver Dodge Intrepid and was listed as stolen out of Fremont.

Police do not know why the vehicle was in the lake and do not have any suspect information at this time.
