A driver has been fired after a sleeping student was left on a school bus Wednesday morning.
6 News has learned no one noticed the Millard Central Middle School student was still on the bus until it was parked in the bus barn. David Prince with Student Transportation says the company is very disappointed that the driver did not follow the company police and proper procedures for checking the bus.
"We have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to incidents like this and the driver has been terminated,” Prince said in a statement. "We take matters like this very seriously since the safety of our passengers is our top priority."
