A Papillion restaurant is targeted by burglars. Several neighboring businesses are in the same strip mall are left with significant damage as well.

The evidence has investigators scratching their heads. Overnight, Papillion Police report a break-in at the Qdoba near 72nd and Giles.

According to officials, the burglars first broke into the "utility room" for the strip mall. The suspects ripped out wires that shut off the alarm system. It appears they also tried to cut a hole in the wall, but the hole may have been to throw investigators "off the scent".

The burglars simply entered through the front door and, there's no sign of forced entry. The safe was found open, and like the front door, there were no signs of forced entry.

Papillion Police Sergeant Jeff Payton said, "It looks like someone has an idea what was in the business and what was in the access room off to the side, so they knew what to cut."
