Omaha, Neb -- A water main break forced crews to shutdown a stretch of Northwest Radial Highway in Omaha Friday morning. The break is at Nicholas street, which is north of Cuming just before Northwest Radial Highway feeds into Saddle Creek.
The southbound lanes were closed for the morning commute on the major thoroughfare.
Here is what's in store for traffic:
- Effective immediately., Northwest Radial Highway between Hamilton Street and Nicholas Street will be restricted to one lane South bound and two lanes North bound due to a water main break affecting the two inside South bound lanes and the North bound inside lane by MUD and will be in effect for one (1) day.
- Beginning Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 9:00 a.m., Northwest Radial Highway between Hamilton Street and Nicholas Street will be restricted South bound for a water main repairs in the inside lane by MUD and will be in effect for five (5) days.
Crews were also working on water main breaks at 50th & Q and 114th and Burke in Omaha Friday morning.
