OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - You will want that warmer jacket as you head out the door! Temperatures are in the low to mid-40s early this morning, with wind chills in the 30s! A spotty shower or a few sprinkles are possible this morning before 8 AM, primarily west and northwest of the Metro.
Partly sunny skies are on tap this morning, before clouds increase once again this afternoon. High temperatures will stay unseasonably cool today, topping out in the mid to upper-50s. A few areas may make it up to 60°.
Light rain showers will increase from the southwest after 3PM this afternoon, with several waves of rain taking us this evening through Tuesday.
Winds will start to increase tonight, but will really pick up Tuesday with gusts up to 50 mph! Showers and storms will be ongoing throughout the day tomorrow, with a total of 1-2 inches expected in the Metro between Monday and Tuesday. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for our far southern counties, including Beatrice, Rock Port, Falls City, and Maryville. Here, up to 3 inches of rainfall are possible.
Highs Tuesday will be slightly warmer than Monday, despite the rain, with temperatures topping out in the low-60s.
Wednesday is the pick day of the week! Conditions will still be a bit breezy, but we will stay dry with highs back in the 70s!
Scattered storm chances return Thursday through the weekend, with highs around the 80° mark.
