Mallory's Forecast - Snow moving out, sunshine moving in

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - We’re going to take a break from the active weather for the middle of the workweek!

Snow has pushed off to the east early this morning, but roads are still partially covered – especially outside of the Metro. Allow yourself some extra time to get where you need to go this morning!

Temperatures are in the 20s to start, with not much warming expected throughout the day. Clouds will gradually decrease, allowing more sunshine by the afternoon, but northwesterly winds and fresh snow will keep us from warming above-freezing. Highs in the Metro will likely just top out in the upper-20s this afternoon, but will feel more like the teens with NW gusts up to 35 mph.

Mostly clear conditions take us into tonight, with lows dropping into the single digits. Winds will die down as well.

More clouds build back in Wednesday, but temperatures will continue to rise! Southerly winds will allow highs to top out near 40° by the afternoon. Wednesday is our only day of good melting, so here’s to hoping we can get the most out of it!

Valentine’s Day looks to remain dry, but we’ll likely hit our high around lunch with temperatures dropping throughout the afternoon and evening. Conditions will be breezy as well!

Our next chance for snow arrives Friday afternoon, with a more active and cold pattern arriving for the weekend.
