OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Keep the umbrellas and rain jackets ready because we're in for more rain and possibly storms this afternoon and evening.
We've already seen one round of rain before the sun came up, we're currently dealing with the second round which should mostly push out by mid-afternoon, and we'll see a third round likely following pretty closely behind that.
Models were initially calling for a few hours to soak in some rain before the last round started, but now they're closing that gap pretty fast.
This next batch of rain should be a bit more scattered, and will likely generate a few storms to go with it. SPC does have the metro and areas south of I-80 listed under a Slight Risk for severe weather this afternoon and evening. The main threat from this will be hail and strong winds, but an isolated tornado can't be ruled out.
High temperatures will be rather odd today, too. Temperatures will more than likely stay in the 50s all day, and then warm after sunset to near 60.
Wednesday looks much better, and brings a much deserved day of mostly sunny skies and drier conditions.
Have a great day!
