One person killed in early morning North Omaha shooting, police say
Two more people hospitalized after North Omaha shooting
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A shooting in North Omaha early Sunday morning has left one person dead and two more in the hospital.
Omaha Police on the scene told First Alert 6 that a man and two women were shot near 30th Street and Larimore Avenue just after 4 a.m.
In an update Sunday afternoon, OPD says 28-year-old Mandrell Swiney Jr. was transported to Nebraska Medicine, where he later died.
Another victim, a 35-year-old woman, was also transported to Nebraska Medicine with a non-life threatening injury. A third victim transported themselves to the hospital in an unknown condition.
“Right now, there’s not much to go on. At this moment in time, we’re still investigating, so all we know is that we have three victims, and quite a large scene,” OPD Lt. Lee Bell told First Alert 6 Sunday morning.
