BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) - One person is dead and another is in the hospital after a shooting in Bellevue.

Bellevue Police officers were called to the incident at an apartment complex near Englewood Drive and Galvin Road just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were performed on the victim, according to an official.

BPD said in an update that the victim, George Negrete, of Bellevue, died from his injuries.

Police say the incident started as a physical disturbance, but it is under investigation.

The second person involved, a 23-year-old man, was found near the scene. He was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
