Driver in serious condition after crashing into dump truck south of Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says a driver crashed into a dump truck and is in serious condition.
First responders were dispatched to 38th and Saltillo around 7:25 a.m. for a crash involving an eastbound Honda and westbound dump truck.
According to LSO’s preliminary reports, the driver of the Honda partially crossed the center line causing the collision.
LSO said the driver of the Honda was transported to a hospital via StarCare with serious but non life threatening injuries.
The driver of the dump truck was not hurt.
Saltillo Road, between 27th and 54th Streets, was closed in both directions while authorities remained on scene.
