Huskers Red-White Game 2022: What you need to know

LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - Husker football fans are getting ready to enjoy all the fun in and around Memorial Stadium for Saturday’s Spring Game.
Kickoff is set for 1:05 p.m. Stadium gates open at 11:30 a.m.; entry will not be permitted at gates 1, 6, 8, 16-16a, and 22. The University of Nebraska does have a clear-bag policy. Details on that and other game-day policies can be found on Huskers.com.
TICKETS
Nebraska Athletics said Friday that Husker fans could still snag $10 tickets to Saturday’s Spring Game.
Fans are encouraged to purchase their mobile tickets online, but the main ticket office will open at 9 a.m., with tickets also available at gates 10-11 at 9:30 a.m.
Mobile tickets are accessed through the official Huskers app.
PARKING
General parking is available for $10 around the stadium as well as several other cashiered lots. NA encouraged fans to use the Waze app to avoid traffic and parking challenges.
Lincoln city lots offer reserved parking online for $8-$10 through parkandgo.org. Parking meters are enforced from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday, but the Passport app will allow access to all-day meter parking — from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m — in Zone 90 for $10.
Parking at UNL, Pinnacle Bank Arena, and Haymarket Park lots, will be available for $10. Pinnacle lots, which will only accept cash, will open at 7 a.m. Haymarket lots, which are also cash-only, open at 8 a.m.
The INS parking lot on Eighth Street, west of Memorial Stadium, will open at 7 a.m. Parking there will cost $25; cash and credit cards will be accepted.
StarTran’s Big Red Express won’t be operating during the Spring Game.
Tailgating is allowed. “Responsible tailgating will be enforced by lot attendants,” the NA release states.
ATTRACTIONS
Before the game, fans can enjoy Husker Nation Pavilion, featuring food vendors and activities including balloons and facepainting, will be set up on Stadium Drive at 11 a.m., then shut down at kickoff.
Nearly 100 barbershop singers from eastern Nebraska chapters will perform the National Anthem. They will be accompanied on the field by 100 military veterans, active-duty military and patriots holding American flags.
At halftime, fans can enjoy a Pershing Rifle performance.
Healthcare workers will also be recognized throughout the game. “FNBO donated 3,000 spring game tickets to area health care workers,” the NA release states.
