State basketball features semifinals in Class A girls and Class B boys

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The third day of state basketball and teams are starting to earn spots to the championship games. In Class B boys Skutt Catholic beat Platteview 67-42. James Gninefou scored 19 for the Skyhawks and Connor Millikan had 17 for the Trojans. Platteview finishes a great year 21-7.

Skutt Catholic will meet Roncalli Catholic after the Crimson Pride beat Beatrice 53-29. Quincy Evans led with 22 points. This will set up a third matchup between the two teams, Skutt Catholic won the first two 65-61 and 57-43.

Girls Class A semifinals, Lincoln Southwest beat Millard South 53-46, the Patriots end a great season at 27-1. They will meet Fremont, a team that will play in a second consecutive state championship, the Tigers beat Lincoln High 62-42.
