Nebraska Huskers beat Buffalo Bulls 28-3 behind a strong defensive performance

(WOWT) - Behind yet another big defensive performance the Huskers beat Buffalo 28-3. The Nebraska defense held yet another opponent to less than 400 yards of offense, Buffalo had 357 yards.

Adrian Martinez had a very good game highlighted by multiple explosion plays. A 71 yard run by the quarterback, a 68-yard touchdown pass to Samori Toure and a second touchdown pass to Toure in the fourth quarter that also covered 68 yards. Adrian completed 14 of 20 for 291 yards, he also ran for 112 yards. The first player to go for a hundred plus in 16 games against Buffalo. Toure had two catches for 136 yards.

Luke Reimer had a very good game leading the Huskers in tackles and he intercepted a deflected pass returning it to the one-yard line, setting up a Gabe Ervin Jr. touchdown.

Nebraska improves to 2-1 and will travel to Oklahoma next week.
